For energy-certificate issuers

Energy-certificate enquiries that arrive complete — building data included

An enquiry form that captures construction year, floor area, heating and refurbishment status — and uses conditional logic to distinguish demand-based from consumption-based certificates. You quote on first read, without a follow-up loop.

What ails certificate enquiries today

The enquiry is a two-liner

"How much is an energy certificate for my house?" — that is often all the email says. Without construction year, area and heating type you can estimate neither effort nor certificate type, let alone a price.

Email ping-pong over every detail

You ask for the construction year, the answer comes two days later — without the floor area. By the time everything is in, days have passed and some prospects have long since ordered from an online portal.

Demand or consumption based? Resolved too late

Whether a consumption-based certificate is permissible or a demand-based one is required depends on construction year, number of units and refurbishment status. If that only surfaces in the third call, quote and scheduling start over.

How Questee qualifies your enquiries

  1. 1

Set up your question set once

You build the enquiry form with the data you actually need: building type, construction year, floor area, number of units, heating type, refurbishments, occasion (sale, letting, display). With AI generation the draft is ready in 30 seconds — then you adapt it to your practice.

  2. 2

    The form thinks along

Conditional logic routes the prospect down different paths depending on their answers: newer, larger buildings head towards consumption certificates and usage data, older buildings with few units towards demand certificates and building-fabric questions. Nobody sees questions that do not apply.

  3. 3

    You receive a quotable enquiry

The complete enquiry lands in your inbox via email notification — all building data structured, optionally with uploaded consumption statements. You see at once which certificate type applies and reply with a solid quote instead of questions.

Questions from issuers' practice

Does the form decide between demand- and consumption-based certificates?
No — the professional and legal classification under the German Buildings Energy Act (GEG) is yours as the issuer. The form collects the necessary details (construction year, units, refurbishment status, available consumption data) and routes the prospect down the matching question path via conditional logic. You get the decision basis delivered — the decision stays with you.
Which building data should I ask for?
A proven set: building type (single-/multi-family, non-residential), construction year of building and heating system, floor area, number of units, heating type and energy source, major refurbishments (roof, façade, windows), occasion and desired date. For consumption certificates additionally: consumption data for the last three billing periods — via file upload right in the form.
Why not just email a PDF checklist?
PDF checklists come back half filled, as an illegible phone photo, or not at all — and they cannot branch. A form with required fields and conditional logic ensures all relevant details exist before submission and hides what does not apply. The result is structured text instead of pixel mush.
How do I stand out from the online certificate portals?
Portals win on a fast ordering flow — professionally you are superior, especially for demand certificates with an on-site visit. With your own professional enquiry form on your website you take away the portals' only argument: convenience. The prospect gets both — a structured enquiry in five minutes and a real expert behind it.
Is the owners' data secure — GDPR-wise?
Yes. Addresses, building data and uploaded statements are hosted exclusively in Germany, transferred encrypted and stored with tenant isolation. We provide the Art. 28 GDPR data processing agreement — important because consumption statements contain personal data.
Can the form already indicate a price range?
Yes — with the calculator feature you can compute a non-binding price range from the answers (certificate-type indication, building size, on-site visit yes/no) and show it at the end. That filters out bargain hunters early and turns the curious into qualified enquiries with realistic price expectations.
Does this also work for general energy-consultancy enquiries?
Yes — many issuers are also energy consultants. Ask for the concern at the start (energy certificate, refurbishment roadmap, funding advice) and branch into the matching question path via conditional logic. One form, your full enquiry spectrum.
