Sound familiar?

The reply card never comes back

Classic reply cards never make it back from half the guests — misplaced, forgotten, "I will do it at the weekend". And you sit there not knowing: is Uncle Bernd coming with four or with two?

Allergies scattered across voice messages

Your cousin texts her gluten intolerance via WhatsApp, the best man announces the vegan menu by phone, aunt Inge e-mails. You maintain three lists in parallel — and the caterer still misses a nut allergy in the end.

The caterer wants numbers — now

Four weeks before the wedding is the deadline for final numbers. So you spend evenings calling the stragglers — in the most stressful phase of the whole planning, when a thousand other things need sorting.

How RSVP works with Questee

  1. 1

Build your RSVP page in your style

Pick the template, adapt names, date and colours — matching your stationery. Accept/decline, party size, menu choice, allergies, song request: you decide what gets asked. Done in one evening, no code.

  2. 2

Link or QR code on the invitation

The link goes on the printed invitation as a QR code or via WhatsApp to the family group. Guests reply in two minutes on their phone — grandma as easily as your old uni friend. No app, no account, no stamp.

  3. 3

One list, ready for the caterer

All answers flow live into one overview: confirmations, headcount, menus, allergies. You see at a glance who is missing and nudge precisely. Export as CSV — the caterer gets the spreadsheet, you keep your sanity.

Everything in for the big day

Menu choice & allergy question

Meat, vegetarian, vegan plus free text for intolerances — structured instead of voice messages.

One reply for the whole family

One guest replies for all companions — including child count for the seating plan.

Design matching your stationery

Colours, fonts and photo freely chosen — the RSVP page belongs to your wedding, not to a tool.

Live overview & reminders

Confirmation status in real time, missing guests at a glance — nudge precisely instead of calling around.

Extra questions: song requests & more

Song requests for the DJ, accommodation needs, shuttle — ask whatever your planning needs.

Questions couples ask

Can grandma and grandpa manage it?
Yes — one question per screen, large type, clear buttons. Anyone who can scan the QR code with their phone camera is done in two minutes. And for the two guests who are truly offline, you simply enter their phoned-in reply yourselves.
Why not just a WhatsApp group?
Because then you transfer 80 individual messages into a spreadsheet — including "we will probably come, I will confirm next week". The RSVP page enforces a clear answer with headcount and menu choice and writes the list automatically. Also: not every guest wants to join a group with 80 strangers.
How is this different from Zola or The Knot?
The big RSVP platforms are English-language and US-hosted. For a German guest list that means English buttons for grandma and guest data in the US cloud — something privacy-conscious in-laws love to point out. Questee is fully German, GDPR-compliant and hosted in Germany.
Can guests change their answer later?
Yes — anyone who saves a draft can return via the same link and adjust their details. For short-notice changes ("babysitter cancelled, we are coming as two after all") you can also edit the entry yourselves. The list stays current.
When should we set the RSVP deadline?
Rule of thumb: six weeks before the wedding — leaving two weeks of buffer for stragglers before the caterer needs final numbers. The form shows you at any time who is still missing, so you only remind the genuinely late instead of everyone.
What happens to guest data after the wedding?
You delete it with one click — or set a retention period in advance and it happens automatically. Your guests' allergies and contact details do not need to sit on a server forever. GDPR-tidy without you having to remember.
Is it really free?
The free plan covers up to 100 responses per month — fully sufficient for many weddings. Pro (€9/month billed annually) makes sense for large guest lists or replacing the Questee branding with your own. No hidden per-guest costs.
