Which questions are AGG-compliant?
Allowed: occupation, income, number of people, pet, rental duration, Schufa consent. NOT allowed: religion, pregnancy, family planning, disability (unless barrier-relevant), ethnicity, orientation. Our template strictly follows the AGG-compliant list.
Do I need explicit Schufa consent?
Yes — under GDPR Art. 6 + Schufa terms, a Schufa enquiry requires documented consent. Our template includes a mandatory checkbox with correct consent text + audit trail.
How long are data stored?
Default 90 days. On signed contract you export the tenant record to your landlord file. Remaining applicants auto-deleted after 90 days (GDPR Art. 17).
Can I embed the link in property listings?
Yes — link can be placed in any platform listing as contact-form alternative. Custom domain (Pro) makes the link more professional (e.g. enquiry.your-domain.de/flat-meier-str).
What happens to rejected applicant data?
Auto-deletion after 90 days is GDPR default. Adjust period as needed. Before deletion optional: rejection mail via template.
How to protect against photo-discrimination claim?
Make the photo field optional. We recommend using photos only at in-person viewings. AGG-compliant note in template.
