Why my own form instead of the big purchase portals?
Portals stand between you and the seller: they take margin, belong to corporations and hand you leads that go to competitors at the same time. Your own form brings the enquiry exclusively to you — from a seller who found you deliberately. That is a different lead from a portal comparison shopper.
What details do I need for a solid initial valuation?
Minimum: make, model, first registration, mileage, transmission, fuel, accident history, MOT date and number of previous owners. Plus photos all around the exterior, interior and odometer. With that set you can quote a serious range — the final valuation stays subject to inspection.
Do sellers actually upload photos?
Yes — far more reliably than by email, because the form states exactly which views you need and upload works straight from the phone camera. Anyone wanting to sell their car has a vested interest in a fast, fair valuation. With draft saving they can add photos later too.
Can I show an automatic price range?
You can use the calculation feature to show a rough orientation range from your own rules of thumb (year, mileage). Important: that is your calculation, not a market-data API — Questee is not a valuation service. Many dealers deliberately omit the range and only quote prices personally.
How secure is the sellers' data?
Names, contact details, plates and vehicle photos are stored encrypted and tenant-isolated on servers in Germany — no US cloud. We provide the Art. 28 GDPR processing agreement. After completion or rejection you can delete enquiries individually.
Could I do this with Google Forms?
Technically yes, practically clunky: Google Forms cannot do conditional photo requirements, looks like a bureaucratic survey and stores data with Google in the US — a GDPR grey area for owner data. Questee offers conditional logic, clean photo upload, your branding and German hosting.
Does the enquiry commit the seller to anything?
No — the enquiry is a non-binding valuation request, not a sales contract. State that in the form too: it lowers the barrier and protects both sides. Contract and handover happen in person at the viewing, as usual.
