Answers from practice

Does it work without internet in basements or shell buildings?
The form runs in the browser and needs a connection to load and submit. In dead zones the draft cache helps: answers persist in the browser and submit once the network returns. For typical apartment measurement visits, mobile coverage is almost always sufficient in practice.
Can the form really calculate wall areas itself?
Yes — the calculation engine computes with your inputs: perimeter times height minus window and door areas, times number of coats. You define the formulas once in the template. The result appears directly in the form and in the results view.
I already have quoting software — do I still need this?
Questee does not replace your calculation software, it replaces the paper note before it. The measurement comes back from the site structured and calculated; you transfer it to your quoting software via CSV. The expensive part — retyping, deciphering, re-measuring — disappears.
Can my journeymen use it too?
Yes — the form is a link anyone in the business opens on their own phone. No app store, no installation, no training: anyone who can fill an online form can capture a measurement. All responses converge centrally in your dashboard.
How is this different from expensive trade software with measurement modules?
Trade software bundles measurement with payroll, inventory, invoicing — and costs three-digit monthly fees accordingly. If you only want to digitise measurements, you pay there for modules you never open. Questee does exactly the measurement step — for a fraction of the price.
Are customer data and photos stored safely?
Yes — hosted in Germany, encrypted transfer, GDPR-compliant. Photos are automatically virus-scanned and accessible only to your account. You can set retention periods per form, e.g. for warranty documentation.
Can I use the form for other trades as well?
