For restaurants & inns

Reservation with menu pre-order — without per-guest commission

Groups book online and pre-order their menu in the same step: dishes, allergies, final guest count. No phone during service, no Excel ping-pong before the Christmas party.

Set up the form

~45 Min of e-mail and phone ping-pong saved per group booking

The same every evening

The phone rings mid-service

Friday evening, packed house — and the phone rings. The waiter wedges the receiver between shoulder and ear, scribbles into the book and keeps table 7 waiting.

Excel ping-pong for groups

The Christmas party for 25: Excel list out, half-filled back, three change e-mails after. Who eats what, which allergies — and two days before, the guest count changes again.

Per-guest commission to the platform

Booking platforms charge per guest brokered — even for regulars who would have come anyway. And they still cannot handle group menu pre-orders.

How Questee solves this

  1. 1

Create the booking form with your menu

Date, time, party size, occasion — plus your menu as choice fields. For groups above X people the pre-order section appears automatically. Link it on your website, Google profile and Instagram bio.

  2. 2

    The organiser collects it themselves

The party organiser shares the link with their group — every guest enters their dish and allergies themselves. You get one clean list instead of ten e-mails with change requests.

  3. 3

Kitchen and service plan with final numbers

All orders in one overview: 8x goose, 5x vegetarian, 2x gluten-free. Export for the kitchen, notification on every new booking — the phone stays free for guests in the house.

Made for restaurant reality

Menu pre-order per guest

Every guest picks their dish — kitchen and purchasing plan with real numbers.

Allergies & intolerances

The 14 EU-regulated allergens as a choice field — documented instead of mentioned at the table.

Logic by party size

Above your threshold (e.g. 10 people) pre-ordering becomes mandatory — smaller tables book in 30 seconds.

Fillable on mobile

Guests book from the sofa — even at 11 pm when no one answers the phone.

Instant notification

Every booking as an e-mail — you confirm when it fits your workflow.

No commission

Fixed monthly price instead of a per-guest fee — regulars cost you nothing extra.

Fixed price instead of commission

Free to start (100 responses/month). Pro at €9/month billed annually — less than the platform commission of a single group evening.

Questions from the trade

Does this replace a booking system with table management?
It replaces the bottleneck: phone and Excel. Bookings arrive structured, you confirm and enter them into your book or system. If you need automated table management with live availability, combine both — classic systems cannot handle group menu pre-orders anyway.
How does pre-ordering work for a Christmas party in practice?
The organiser books and receives the pre-order link for their group. Each guest opens the link on their phone, picks starter/main/dessert and enters allergies. You watch the list fill up live and set a deadline — e.g. 5 days before the date.
What if the guest count changes at short notice?
Guests can change their entries themselves until your deadline — after that the list is frozen and the kitchen plans firmly. Change e-mails to you disappear because the group manages itself.
Do I have to ask about allergies at all?
EU Regulation 1169/2011 obliges you to inform about the 14 main allergens. Asking in the form flips this: you know before the evening that table 12 has two nut allergies — documented, not mentioned in passing.
Can guests book without pre-ordering?
Yes — with conditional logic the menu selection only appears above your party-size threshold. A table for two books in 30 seconds, the 25-person Christmas party gets the full pre-order flow.
Where does guest data end up?
On servers in Germany, GDPR-compliant, with a DPA. You can set a deletion period (e.g. 3 months after the date) — the data cleans itself up without you having to remember.
Do I need my own website for this?
No — the form has its own address that you can put straight into your Google Business profile, Instagram bio or on the menu (QR code). A website is handy but not required.
