Answers for board & treasurer

Are there fees per donation?
Questee itself takes no transaction fee — you only pay the plan (Pro: €9/month annually). Standard Stripe fees apply for payment processing. Unlike FundraisingBox or Altruja, there is no additional platform percentage on every donation.
Does Questee create the donation receipt automatically?
Questee provides the clean data basis: name, address, date, amount, purpose — complete and exportable. You generate the official receipt via mail merge or club software. The time sink was never the document but gathering the data — that part disappears.
Why not just use betterplace?
betterplace works — but the donation happens on a third-party platform with its branding and its donor relationship. With Questee the donor stays on your website, the data belongs to the club, and you design the form freely (purposes, amounts, membership question).
Is this GDPR-compliant — even without a DPO in the club?
Yes. Questee hosts in Germany, uses no US subprocessors and provides the data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) — the board simply files it. Consent checkbox and privacy notice are built into the form. That puts the club in far better shape than a PayPal button with no documentation at all.
Can donors also pay by bank transfer?
Yes — you can make online payment optional and show the club's IBAN with a reference instead. Donor data still lands structured in the system; the treasurer only matches the incoming payment instead of retyping addresses.
Does the form work on mobile — e.g. via QR code at the club festival?
Yes. One question per screen, Apple Pay and Google Pay for the two-second donation. Put a QR code on posters or flyers — donation and donor data arrive clean instantly, no cash-box counting.
What about in-kind donations or membership fees?
Same principle, separate forms: an in-kind donation form with description and photo upload, a membership application with SEPA mandate. Pro includes unlimited forms — one tool for all the club's data intake.
