For faculties, programme directors & student councils

Measure student satisfaction — this week, not next semester

Your own anonymous pulse surveys for your faculty: built in minutes, answered on a phone, analysed without a QM request. The fast complement to your sluggish central evaluation system.

Why faculties so often fly blind

The central system is too slow

Getting your own question into the central evaluation? File a request with QM, align with the evaluation regulations, results in the next cycle at the earliest. By the time data arrives, the semester is over.

Standard questions miss your topic

How is the new curriculum landing? Does the hybrid format work? Why do students drop out in semester three? The standardised teaching evaluation never asks — so the faculty guesses instead of knowing.

No honest answers without real anonymity

Surveys behind the university login or via reply-all e-mails produce courtesy feedback. Students only say what they really think when the survey is demonstrably anonymous.

Pulse surveys in three steps

  1. 1

Write the questions — yours, not QM's

Scale questions, multi-select, open feedback — on exactly the topic occupying your faculty right now. With AI generation a first draft is ready in 30 seconds for you to refine.

  2. 2

    Share anonymously, answer on mobile

Link or QR code in the lecture, the Moodle course or via the student council — no login, no name field. One question per screen, answered in five minutes on a phone. That keeps response rates high.

  3. 3

Use the results within the same week

Responses flow live into the results view: distributions per scale question, open feedback collected, exportable for the programme committee. "We assume" becomes "we know" — before the topic goes cold.

Built for honest campus feedback

Anonymous by design

No required name, student ID or login — the survey collects only what you explicitly ask.

Scale & choice questions

Satisfaction scales, multi-select and open text questions — the full survey repertoire.

Conditional logic

Ticking "dissatisfied" triggers a follow-up — satisfied students finish in three minutes.

Multilingual DE/EN

International students answer in English — same survey, same results.

Hosted in Germany + DPA

GDPR-compliant for public institutions — no US cloud, Art. 28 DPA included.

One per screen, mobile

One question per screen, phone-optimised — doable in a lecture break.

Student-council budgets welcome

Free for occasional surveys (3 forms, 100 responses/month). Pro at €12/mo (€9/mo annually) for larger cohorts and regular pulse surveys.

Questions from faculties and student councils

Are responses truly anonymous?
Yes, if you set it up that way: simply omit name, student ID and any login requirement — then the form collects no identifying data. Say so in the intro text; it noticeably raises the honesty of responses. For sensitive topics, also avoid very small breakdown groups.
Does this replace EvaSys or our central evaluation?
No — by design. Accreditation-relevant teaching evaluation continues through your central system under your evaluation regulations. Questee adds what that system cannot do: spontaneous, faculty-owned pulse surveys on current topics, without a request and without waiting for the next cycle.
Why not Google Forms — that would be quick too?
Quick yes, permitted often not: many German universities ban Google Forms for surveys because data flows to the US cloud and no adequate DPA exists. Questee hosts exclusively in Germany and provides the Art. 28 GDPR data processing agreement — same speed, without the data protection risk.
How do we get a good response rate?
Three levers: keep it short (under ten questions), place the link where students already are (lecture QR code, Moodle, student-council channels), and state the anonymity clearly. One question per screen on mobile further cuts drop-off — nobody scrolls through an endless wall of questions.
Can the student council use this without the faculty?
Yes — the free plan fully covers student-council surveys, no budget request needed. Many councils gather sentiment on exam periods, room situations or first-semester experience and bring well-prepared results into committees. Data persuades a programme commission more than anecdotes.
Can we repeat the same survey every semester?
Yes — duplicate the survey each semester and keep the wording identical so results stay comparable. Over the semesters you build your own satisfaction time series for the faculty — exactly the trend data that is otherwise always missing in QM discussions.
What do we do with open free-text feedback?
All free-text answers sit collected in the results view and can be exported — for instance to cluster them for the programme committee. Tip: place at most one or two open questions at the end of the survey; then exactly those respond who genuinely have something to say.
