Really 0% commission — what's the catch?
No hidden catch, but we are upfront: Questee takes no commission, you only pay the plan (Free or Pro). Online payments incur the usual Stripe fees (in Europe typically around 1.5% + a fixed amount per card payment, settled directly between you and Stripe). That is a fraction of the 13-30% order platforms charge.
Does this replace my till system?
No, and we don't claim it does. Questee is your ordering channel: orders arrive as e-mail notifications and in your dashboard, payment runs through your Stripe account. You record revenue in your till as usual — there is no direct till integration. Via webhooks you can additionally forward orders to your own systems.
Why not just stay on the delivery platform?
You don't have to leave — many places run both: the platform brings new customers, your own form serves the regulars. That is exactly where it pays off: guests who order from you anyway shouldn't trigger 13-30% commission. A QR code at the counter and a note on the receipt are enough to move regulars to your own channel.
Can I update the menu quickly?
Yes — dish sold out or a new daily special? Edit the form in your browser, save, done. The QR code and link stay the same, guests immediately see the current menu. No new printout, no call to an agency.
Does it work for delivery too?
The form can ask for a delivery address and preferred time — the delivery itself is yours to organise. Questee does not plan driver routes or calculate delivery zones. For places with their own driver this works well; the strongest case remains collection.
What happens to my guests' data?
It belongs to you — not to us and not to a platform. Questee hosts exclusively in Germany, ships the Art. 28 GDPR data-processing agreement and encrypts everything in transit. Name, order and pick-up time sit tenant-isolated in your account and are never used for third-party advertising.
How does the money reach me?
Payment runs through your own Stripe account — Questee never sits between you and your money. Stripe pays out to your business account on its usual schedule, and you see every transaction in the Stripe dashboard. Refunds (e.g. for cancellations) take one click there.
