Car claim report complete — straight from the scene

Photos, licence plates, accident details, all mandatory data in one pass — via smartphone link instead of PDF ping-pong. Prompt claim notification without chasing your client.

How claims reporting works today

Phone, PDF, e-mail — three media breaks

The client calls, you send the PDF form, they print, fill, scan, mail it back. Photos trickle in the next day — one blurry, none showing the other party's plate.

VVG: prompt means prompt

German insurance contract law requires prompt claim notification and full cooperation. Every day of PDF ping-pong delays settlement — and the client blames you, not the insurer.

Incomplete reports, double work

Claim number? Other party's insurer? Witnesses? Whatever the form lacks, you chase by phone before forwarding to the insurer. One report becomes five contacts.

How Questee fixes this

  1. 1

Set up the claim form once

Customise the car claim template: policy number, time and place, sequence of events, other party data, witnesses, photo uploads as mandatory. Link on your website, in your signature and as a QR code on the client card.

  2. 2

Client reports straight from the scene

A smartphone browser is enough: photos of damage, plates and scene taken directly with the camera. Conditional logic asks only what's relevant — wildlife collision, parking damage and glass damage have different mandatory fields.

  3. 3

    Forward complete, immediately

You receive the report instantly via e-mail notification — all mandatory data, all photos, sorted. PDF export for the insurer, CSV for your broker management system. Reported promptly, nothing left to chase.

Built for the claims moment

Photo upload via phone camera

Damage photos, plates, scene sketch — captured and attached directly from the browser.

Conditional logic per claim type

Wildlife, parking, glass — each claim type gets its own mandatory questions.

Mandatory fields for complete notification

No submission without plate, date and description — no more follow-up loops.

Instant notification

New claim = instant e-mail to you. You respond the same day, not next week.

PDF & CSV export

Report as PDF to the insurer, data as CSV into your broker management system.

Answers from the broker office

Do my clients need an app?
No — that's the point. Big insurers have claims apps, but no client installs your brokerage's app at an accident scene. The Questee link runs in the smartphone browser, including camera access for photos. A QR code on the client card is enough.
Does this help with policyholder obligations under VVG?
Yes, in two directions: the client fulfils notification and disclosure obligations faster and more completely because the form enforces all mandatory data. And you have a timestamp of when the report was made — documented in case the insurer later alleges delay.
What about the photos — are they secure?
Per question up to 25 MB per file, 100 MB total per report — enough for a dozen damage photos. Every file is virus-scanned automatically, downloads run via signed tokens. Stored on German servers, GDPR-compliant.
Can I create separate forms per line of business?
Yes — motor, household, liability, building: each line gets its own form with its own mandatory fields. Pro includes unlimited forms. Many brokers start with motor because that's where most reports and most media breaks happen.
How does the report reach the insurer?
You export the report as a PDF with all answers and forward it via your usual channel (broker portal, e-mail, your management system's process). Photos download in one batch. The difference: you forward once, complete, instead of supplementing three times.
Does this work when the client is shaken up?
That's what it's built for: one question per screen, plain language, photos instead of free text where possible. Anyone who doesn't know everything at the scene can save a draft and complete at home — same link, the scene photos are already in.
What does it cost compared to a custom claims app?
A custom-built app costs five figures plus maintenance — unrealistic for a brokerage. Questee Pro is €9/month annually and covers unlimited forms and clients. The claim form is set up in an afternoon.
