For heating & plumbing businesses

Heat-pump enquiries with building data instead of gut feeling

Year built, insulation, radiators, current boiler, gas consumption — your consultation form collects upfront what you need for a first assessment. You advise the right customers instead of chasing everyone by phone.

~30 Min shorter initial consultation per enquiry, because the key data is already there

The heating-law effect in your inbox

A flood of enquiries without substance

Since the heating-law debate, every homeowner is asking — from unrenovated old buildings to new builds with underfloor heating. "Will a heat pump work for me?" cannot be answered without building data, yet your phone rings all day anyway.

Master-craftsman hours for dead-end visits

Your best man drives to a consultation and sees within two minutes: uninsulated house, old column radiators, budget for a gas boiler at most. That hour is missing on site — and you lose several of them a month.

Key-data collection via phone ping-pong

Year built? The customer has to look it up. Gas consumption? It is on the bill they cannot find right now. Boiler type plate? They will call back later. Three phone calls for data a form collects in one pass.

How Questee pre-sorts your consultations

  1. 1

    Set up the building-data form

You ask for the heat-load indicators your assessment needs: year built, living area, insulation measures (roof, façade, windows), radiator type or underfloor heating, current boiler with year, annual gas/oil consumption. Generated by AI in 30 seconds, then adapted to your consultation flow.

  2. 2

    The homeowner completes it calmly

One question per screen, phrased plainly, with photo upload for the type plate, radiators and boiler room. The customer can save a draft, dig out the gas bill and continue later — without calling you three times.

  3. 3

You advise prepared — and the right people

Renovated house with underfloor heating and 18,000 kWh of gas? Top candidate, book the visit. Unrenovated old building with column radiators? Recommend a renovation roadmap first — by email, no travel. Every consultation starts with facts instead of data collection.

Built for heating consultations

Photo upload

Type plate, radiators, boiler room, installation spot — photos tell your master craftsman more than any description.

Conditional logic

Underfloor-heating questions only if present, oil-tank questions only with oil heating — the form adapts to the house.

Questions from day-to-day heating work

Which building data should I ask for to assess heat-pump suitability?
The key heat-load indicators: year built and living area, completed insulation measures (roof, façade, windows with year), heat-delivery type (radiator type, underfloor heating), current heat generator with year and fuel, plus annual consumption. Add placement options (garden, exterior wall) and a photo of the type plate. That enables a sound preliminary assessment — it does not, of course, replace a standards-based heat-load calculation.
Does the form replace the heat-load calculation or site survey?
No — professional planning, heat-load calculation and measurement remain your craft. The form pre-sorts: it separates houses where the visit is worthwhile from those needing other measures first. Your planner drives to five promising appointments instead of ten mixed ones.
Will homeowners even understand the technical questions?
If you phrase them right, yes: instead of "flow temperature?" you ask "Which radiators do you have?" with picture options; instead of "heat load?" the gas consumption from the annual bill. Help texts explain where to find things ("type plate: silver sticker on the boiler"). Photo upload catches the rest — whatever the customer cannot name, they simply photograph.
Is my customers' data protected under GDPR?
Yes. Questee hosts exclusively in Germany, transfers encrypted and provides the Art. 28 GDPR data-processing agreement. Address, consumption data and building photos sit tenant-isolated on German servers — not in a US cloud and not in a WhatsApp group where customer data does not belong.
Why not just a fillable PDF questionnaire?
The PDF comes back half completed, printed-and-photographed, or not at all — and type-plate photos have to be collected separately by email. An online form validates required fields, accepts photos directly, adapts to the house via conditional logic and delivers everything structured in one record.
Don't I need dedicated trade-industry software for this?
Industry software is strong at order processing, costing and project management — but as an enquiry frontend for end customers it is usually oversized and expensive, especially for businesses under 50 people. Questee solves exactly the upstream problem: collecting structured, complete enquiries. Whatever becomes an order, you manage the way you are used to.
How does the form reach my customers?
As a link or embedded on your website ("Start the heat-pump check"), in your email signature, or as a reply to phone enquiries: "I'll send you a link, fill it in at your leisure — then I can genuinely help you." With Pro it all runs under your logo and colours.
